Trevor Bowden

Co-founder .ECO domain / Big Room Inc.

Mr. Trevor Bowden is a co-founder of Big Room, a venture founded in 2007 with the goal of making it easier for people to make sustainable choices.

Big Room is coordinating a community-led bid for the .ECO top level domain, one of the most prominent new TLD applicants. Trevor has spoken widely at industry and community events on the new TLD process and the .ECO application.

Big Room is also recognized for its work in creating the Ecolabel Index, the largest global directory of ecolabels in the world. In this capacity, Big Room advises companies, governments, and organisations on ecolabels, certification, and green purchasing.

Prior to founding Big Room, Trevor developed the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP FI) Roundtable series and launched the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UN PRI). He has consulted extensively to the United Nations and international banks on environmental lending and investment practice.

Trevor holds an M.Sc. from the University of London, a Diploma in Environmental Studies from McGill University and a B.A. (Hons.) in English and Philosophy from the University of Western Ontario.

He is based in Vancouver, Canada.
