Thorsten Smeets

Thorsten Smeets was born in 1977 in Neunkirchen/Saar, Germany.

He studied business economics at the University of cooperative education of the Saarland and finished his studies with the Diploma degree in Business Administration in 2001.

In 2007 he graduated with a Magister degree at the University of Trier in media studies and marketing. In 2006 he was awarded with the 'Certificate in International Journalism' at the Hamline University in St. Paul, USA.

Further steps in his professional career were positions in the marketing and sales area at the Karlsberg brewery and one year as consultant with the advertising agency HDW in Saarbrücken.
