Lambert Pechan is partner of the Düsseldorf based law firm Weber & Sauberschwarz and Certified Specialist Lawyer in Intellectual Property Law.
His legal practice covers all aspects of non-technical IP-rights. He is specialized in the advice and litigation in trademark, unfair competition and copyright disputes for German and international clients. The scope of his practice includes the representation of his clients before German courts, the Office for Harmonization in the International Market – OHIM (Alicante), World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO/OMPI (Geneva). Furthermore he represents trademark owners in all different administrative proceedings and in the drafting and negotiation of any trademark related contracts. Lambert Pechan advises various companies in the fashion, consumer goods and car industry.
A special focus of his practice are domain-disputes. He gives legal advice to trademark owners in all aspects of domain registration, in arbitration and court proceedings.
Lambert Pechan studied Law at the University of Bonn, the University of Cologne and at the Freie Universität Berlin (Dr. jur.). His legal training included an internship with a Law Firm in Sydney/Australia. He has been admitted to the bar since 1993.
Lambert Pechan regularly gives lectures on trademark law, advertising law and unfair competition law. He is German delegate to the Anti-Counterfeiting Committee of ECTA (European Communities Trademark Association) and member of the International Association for the Protection of Industrial Property and Copyright (AIPPI).
